REIT School: Analyst Training in Real Estate Securities provides a thorough introduction to the sector and to the tools for gauging the current condition and future prospects of individual REITs as well as the sector as a whole.

The agenda for the program consists of lectures, group discussions and case studies led by current industry advisors and executives giving attendees an informed, strategic perspective they can apply immediately.

Topics include:

• The fundamental metrics and multiples used in analyzing REIT financial statements
• REIT credit analysis
• How a REIT's capital structure can affect its performance under various market conditions
• Methodologies for evaluating property and corporate-level acquisitions
• Global real estate investing trends and issues
• M&A and enterprise valuation

This program presumes familiarity with basic accounting and finance concepts. Prior to the program, participants will receive materials for the Investing in REITs case study as well as suggested reading for those new to the sector.
