Mark E. Zalatoris has been affiliated with Inland Real Estate Corporation since 2000. Mr. Zalatoris was promoted to President and Chief Executive Officer in April 2008, having previously served as Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer from 2004 to 2008, and as Chief Financial Officer and Executive Vice President from 2000 to 2004. Prior to his responsibilities at Inland Real Estate Corporation, Mr. Zalatoris was a Vice President at Inland Real Estate Investment Corporation with primary responsibility for asset management and due diligence functions. He has previously practiced as a certified public accountant, holds a general securities license and is a member of both the National Association of Real Estate Investment Trusts (NAREIT) and the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC).
Mr. Nishant Bakaya: Accessing and Managing Capital, Part 1

For the investment banker's instruction on the methods and options for capital raising, Mr. Bakaya's brings a wealth of experience to the table. His transactions at UBS includes the $26 billion sale of Hilton Hotels Corporation to funds affiliated with The Blackstone Group, the $890 million sale of Apple Hospitality Two to ING Clarion, the $410 million acquisition of Pacific Sales by Best Buy, and debt and equity offerings for companies such as Ashford Hospitality Trust, Douglas Emmett, Hilton Hotels Corporation, Kimco Realty Corporation, and ProLogis.
Prior to joining UBS in 2005, Mr. Bakaya was an Analyst at JPMorgan. He received his B.A. in Economics from Franklin & Marshall College and his MBA with Honors from the University Of Chicago Graduate School Of Business.
Mr. Thomas Cook: Evaluating REIT Fixed-Income Securities

Mr. Cook provides senior coverage of REITs and high-grade and high-yield retailers. Mr. Cook has 25 years experience in various positions at Citi, Salomon Brothers, Kidder, Peabody and Merrill Lynch.
Mr. Cook holds a Bachelor of Science from Bucknell University and an MBA from The Wharton School. Mr. Cook's professional certifications include the CFA and CPA designations. Mr. Larry Finger: Accessing and Managing Capital Part 2

Having retired as EVP, CFO and Treasuer of Federal Realty Investment Trust, Mr. Finger now provides strategic advisory services to public companies seeking improved valuation. At REIT School, he will share the corporate executive's perspective on balance sheet management strategies and the impact of leverage upon market value.
Mr. Finger earned a B.S. in Accountancy from the University of Illinois and a J.D. from Georgetown Law Center. In addition, Mr. Finger received his Certified Public Accountant designation in 1976, and was admitted to the District of Columbia Bar Association in 1981.
Dr. Michael R. Grupe: Restoring Credit and Confidence to Commercial Real Estate
Executive Vice President, Research and Investment Affairs, NAREIT
Michael R. Grupe is Executive Vice President for Research and Investor Outreach at The National Association of Real Estate Investment Trusts (NAREIT). NAREIT is the representative voice for real estate investment trusts (REITs) and publicly traded real estate companies worldwide with an interest in U.S. real estate and capital markets. At NAREIT, he directs all research and investor outreach activities related to the collection and distribution of statistics on industry growth and development, analysis of real estate investment performance and communication with investors, policymakers and the public. He also acts as liaison to the press on technical issues involving REIT industry performance and practice.
Before joining NAREIT, Michael was Chief of Mortgage and Consumer Finance in the Division of Research & Statistics at the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System in Washington, DC. Prior to his position at the Fed, Michael was senior vice president for mortgage-backed securities research at the investment-banking firm of Kidder, Peabody & Company in New York.
Michael earned his Ph.D. degree in business-statistics from The University of Wisconsin. He is a member of the American Real Estate Society and the Advisory Board of the Real Estate Research Institute.
Mr. Frank Haggerty: Investing in REITs: A Case Study
Portfolio Manager, Duff & Phelps
Mr. Haggerty is a portfolio manager and senior analyst at Duff & Phelps Investment Management, where he is a member of the Duff & Phelps global real estate securities team. Frank is a co-portfolio manager of the Virtus Real Estate Securities Fund, the Virtus International Real Estate Securities Fund and the Virtus Global Real Estate Securities Fund. Prior to joining Duff & Phelps in 2005, Mr. Haggerty was a senior analyst and portfolio manager at ABN AMRO Asset Management for seven years. At ABN AMRO, he was a member of the North American real estate securities team and was responsible for analyzing the residential, office, lodging, and health care property sectors. Additionally, Mr. Haggerty was the portfolio manager for the North American region of the ABN AMRO High Income Property Fund (Netherlands based mutual fund) and several offshore separate accounts that utilized a similar investment strategy.
Mr. Haggerty holds a B.S. in Business Administration from Illinois State University and a M.B.A., with distinction, from DePaul University. He is a member of the CFA Society of Chicago, the CFA Institute and the National Association of Real Estate Investment Trusts. Additionally, Frank currently serves as a member of the Board of the Illinois State University Educational Investment Fund.

As a leading instructor at one of the most prestigious real estate programs in the country, Dr. Mueller closely tracks and writes on real estate market cycle analysis, investments and capital markets. Dr. Mueller is also the Real Estate Investment Strategist at Dividend Capital Group, where he provides research and investment strategy for Dividend Capital's Real Estate Securities, Private Real Estate Investment, Private REIT and Real Estate Debt groups.
Dr. Mueller holds a B.S/B.A. from the University of Denver, an M.B.A. from Babson College and a Ph.D. in Real Estate from Georgia State University.
Mr. Christopher G. Pappas: Financial Statement Analysis

Christopher Pappas is the Managing Consultant for Global Realty Consulting (GRC), a New York based firm specializing in real estate and real estate securities consulting. For GRC, Chris advises investors on real estate securities investments. He provides analysis of individual names and market outlook and valuation for the REIT industry as a whole.
Previously, Mr. Pappas was a portfolio manager of the Athos Real Estate Securities Fund (“Athos Fund”), a long/short real estate securities hedge fund sponsored by Caisse de Depot and the Praedium Group. Chris was responsible for making investment decisions, analysis, and trading. The Athos Fund was nominated for “Fund of the Year” by Institutional Investor Real Estate Newsletter in 2004.
Prior to joining Praedium, Mr. Pappas was the portfolio manager for Deutsche Bank's REIT fund.Chris has a B.S. from Lehigh University (Class of ’89) and an MBA from Columbia University (Class of ’95). In 1996, he completed Chase Manhattan Bank’s MBA training program which included bank credit training.
Mr. Thomas L. Regnell: Property Analysis

Mr. Regnell joined the Washington Real Estate Investment Trust in 1995 and most recently served as Managing Director, Acquisitions. From 1992 through 1994, Mr. Regnell served as an Investment (Acquisitions) Officer with Federal Realty Investment Trust. Previously, Mr. Regnell was a Vice President with Spaulding & Slye Company, a real estate development, brokerage and management company.
Mr. Regnell is a member of the Urban Land Institute (ULI), the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC), the National Association of Industrial and Office Parks (NAIOP) and serves as a director of the Northern Virginia NAIOP. He also is a member of the National Advisory Council to the George Washington University's School of Media and Public Affairs.
Mr. James M. Taylor: Valuation and Mergers & Acquisitions

Mr. Taylor joined Eastdil Secured’s investment banking team as a result of Wells Fargo’s acquisition of Wachovia Securities in Dec 2008. Mr. Taylor originally joined Wachovia’s Real Estate Corporate Finance Group in 1998 and was promoted to Head of Real Estate Investment Banking at Wachovia in 2007. Over the years, Mr. Taylor has completed public debt and equity offerings, M&A transactions, asset and portfolio sales, private equity placements, mortgage financings and bank loans for numerous real estate clients.
Prior to joining Wachovia, Mr. Taylor practiced corporate and securities law with Hunton & Williams, where he represented both issuers and underwriters in public and private equity offerings, debt offerings and M&A transactions, with a focus on equity REITs. Previously, Mr. Taylor worked as a senior accountant for PricewaterhouseCoopers in Washington, D.C.
